There are more than forty types of astrology across the globe that have stood the test of time. Most people are familiar with Western astrology, yet unless you are from Asia, Chinese astrology often remains unknown or misunderstood. Today, however, interest from the West has grown significantly. Unlike event-based systems, Chinese astrology is a holistic methodology — connecting a person to the environment, to soul purpose, and to the universe itself. It is not merely about forecasts; it is about how we interact with the world, how we understand ourselves, and how we uncover the who, the why, the what, and the how of our lives.

The Five Arts of Ancient Chinese Metaphysics have been practiced since the mid‑fourth century BC — a time when astronomy and divination guided the elite in strategizing movements, recruiting leaders, enrolling promising students, and even arranging marriages according to time and space. What was once unthinkable for ordinary people has now become widely accessible to anyone today.

Under the umbrella of Chinese Metaphysics, there are five branches:

  1. Medicine — Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

  2. Mountain — Philosophy, Martial Arts, Meditation, Spirituality

  3. Destiny — BaZi (Four Pillars of Destiny)

  4. Physiognomy — Zi Wei Dou Shu (Purple Star), Feng Shui, Face & Palm Reading

  5. Divination — Da Liu Ren, Qi Men Dun Jia, Dua Yi, Tai Yi, and the I‑Ching

BAZI

BaZi, translated as “eight characters,” is commonly known as the Four Pillars of Destiny. It is a Chinese astrological system that reveals our mission, path, and purpose by analyzing the elements and energies present in the year, month, day, and hour of birth.

The Four Pillars are built from these birth details, each assigned celestial stems and earthly branches. Among them, the Day Pillar — known as the self element — is crucial, serving as the point of reference for BaZi analysis. The chart itself does not change, nor can we alter it, but we can rise above it.

We cannot choose the family we are born into or the chart we inherit, yet the law of free will allows us to transform our environment, our thoughts, and our actions. Our BaZi chart is our spiritual blueprint, our DNA. It explains the why and the how of our life’s journey, guiding us to create joy for ourselves and love for those around us.

In Chinese Metaphysics, three distinct forces influence our destiny. Known as the Cosmic Trinity or Power of Three, they represent three types of luck. Luck is the reverberation of chance — sometimes good, sometimes challenging. To improve destiny’s outcome, the Chinese believe we must receive good ancestral karma, uphold high moral standards, and implement harmonious Feng Shui. Together, these three forces work in unison.

Decoding and understanding your birth chart helps you appreciate yourself, recognize your struggles, quiet your saboteurs, and guide you toward creating a better life for yourself and your loved ones.

With love xoxo
